R-L21 Files

Phylogenetic Trees by Alex Williamson

These trees were generated using the neighbor-joining algorithm provided by the PHYLIP phylogeny package. This algorithm requires a distance matrix, for which the data came from various versions of Mike Walsh’s Excel spreadsheet (see below). Only members with at least the 67 FTDNA markers were used.

These trees were generated using a custom designed SNP constrained neighbor-joining algorithm. It uses STR data from Mike Walsh's excel spreadsheets as well as SNP data from various FTDNA project websites.

Sorted Excel databases of L21+ tested haplotypes by Mike Walsh

This is an Excel database of men who have tested positive for the SNP L21. It includes their haplotypes, as well as information regarding possible clustering. Unlike the similar Excel files available from the Yahoo R-L21 Project page, the entries in these files have been sorted to be in the same order as the corresponding tree above. This makes it useful for identifying the pattern of mutations in each cluster.

Cluster Modals

Below are Excel files with the modal haplotypes of various R-L21 clusters, as infered from the trees generated above.

Below are Excel files with the modal haplotypes of various R-M343 clades, as infered from the trees generated above.
